Tetris is incredible. Good shout out.
Isn't the PS5 visuals all this game really has going for itself? A PS4 version stripped down visually + the reported bitterly average gameplay doesn't sound like a winner.
It was intentionally misleading, lets face it. It wasn't technically a lie, but the idea was to get people thinking that these titles were for PS5 exclusivity.
I am bummed. Yes you can tweak graphic settings so they look better on PS5. But the new CPUs are capable of much more than that. I would have loved a more complex AI in GT7 and more expansive uninterrupted environments with GoW... that's not going to happen now.
It'll also mean playing GT7 I'll hav...
I only noticed coil whine in the first 2 or so days of owning the console. It seems to have stopped now. (On digital edition)
I am sure you're 100% right. But I personally had to grind DS to get around the fact I suck at them. On bloodborne the amount of times I killed those slug students and farm them for xp was embarrassing.
I just go hot and cold on both. I initially smashed XSX due to Gamespass getting a few good titles, then I picked up Ghost of T in the psn sale and got sucked into that for ages, now I am back on XSX playing Resi8... Next game in mind is likely R&C.
I'd say if one is truly gathering dust, flog it whilst people are paying good prices for them. You can always buy back in later down the line.
Battlefield operated like this during the PS3/360 era. The consoles had their ports which were stripped back in terms of player and vehicle count. Whilst the PC had more of both. I imagine this will be the same.
I think you'll find a lot of us who are complaining are not US citizens. To put in perspective the price hike in the UK has made the games $98.47 (£70) a pop. They were generally £50 towards end of last gen $70.38. That is a significant rise.
The price is even higher when you consider special editions and micro transactions have not gone away on a majority of titles. So yeah. I am in the camp that the price was too high and am still yet to buy a first ...
Valve. ID
I bought a disc copy of it for XSX.
That's I feel 90% of the time with the controller speaker. I have 7.2 surround sound or earphones on, both provide pretty good audio experiences. I hate hearing that tinny little speaker trying to compete. Fortunately 9 out of 10 games let me turn it off.
The addition of Locke was an odd choice. If they wanted to get away from Chief it would have been pretty easy to do. Bungie themselves did it with Halo ODST and Reach which I thought were great extended universe games.
Well hopefully this time it is a lesson learned. I had fun enough in Halo 4 and 5, the magic of the originals was gone... but I still had fun. At worst I imagine it will be the same with Infinite. Either fun but forgettable, or they knock it out the park...
I agree totally, but I believe (and someone from the US correct me if I am wrong)... they also have to pay tax on top which would bump that price up a bit. Whilst ours is tax included.
I've got the money, so it's not a matter of "budget" I am just not willing to part with it at £70 a game.
Same for me... apart from R&C. That game looks incredible, if it reviews as predominantly 9's I am going to suck it up and buy it.
I went with XSX, but only because it has a disc a drive (I own PS5 digi) and I got it for a bargain £45.
It benefits me. I have a split gaming group who each have their own platform of choice. Being able to get together and play regardless of what we like to play on has been great. It also gets us specifically choosing particular games to buy because of the crossplay benefits.
Someone got out of the wrong side of bed today.
EDF has never been a pretty game. But the charm is in the gameplay, they are so much fun and absolute chaos to smash through with a friend.
You say Halo is the best FPS around in the first sentence. Then go on to demonstrate you don't play many other FPS games with your unfamiliarity of battle passes.
Nailed it.
